John T. Cecil, Jr., MD, FAAP

Medical Doctor

Dr. Cecil received his BS in Biology in 1975 from the University of Kentucky where he was inducted into the UK chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Doctor of Medicine in 1979 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He did his internship at Southwestern Children’s and Parkland Hospitals in Dallas, Texas and his residency at University and Kosair Children’s Hospitals in Louisville, where he served as chief resident in Pediatrics in 1981/82. He practiced pediatrics in Paducah for 15 years followed by a 15 year stint in urgent care. He opened The Cecil Clinic in October 2012 with many of his loyal staff members who have worked with him for many years.

Dr. Cecil is on the gratis faculty at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, University of Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine , University of Kentucky, Vanderbilt University, McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University, Bethel College and Southern Illinois University. Teaching is very important to him and The Cecil Clinic enjoys a steady stream of students doing rural medicine rotations. He has been a primary investigator in numerous drug trials for ADHD medications. He also serves as Medical Director of The Lily Pad, an Easter Seals associated day care for medically fragile children.

Physician Assistant

Reetha is a PA at The Cecil Clinic. She received her nursing degree from Med Center One School of Nursing in 1985. She was an ER Trauma/Flight nurse in Bismarck, North Dakota before moving to Paducah in 1999. She worked at Western Baptist Hospital as an Emergency nurse. In 1997 Reetha graduated from the Physician Assistant program at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks. She has extensive experience in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and family practice. She has focal interest in treatment and management of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and obesity.

Lindsay Martin, BSN, RN, MSN, FNP

Nurse Practitioner

Lindsay graduated from St. Mary High School in Paducah in 2002. She attended the University of Louisville where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006. She worked as an RN at Jewish Hospital in Louisville while she obtained her master’s degree. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2008 from Spalding University. After graduation she returned to Paducah and started working as a nurse practitioner with Dr. Cecil. She has worked with Dr. Cecil for the past five years and is happy to call The Cecil Clinic “home.”

Natalie Brenningmeyer, BSN, RN, MSN, FNP

Nurse Practitioner

Natalie is a nurse practitioner at The Cecil Clinic. She graduated from Heath High School in 2002. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006 from the University of Louisville and worked as an RN in the oncology unit at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She graduated from Spalding University in 2008 with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. She then moved back to her hometown of Paducah and worked as an OB/GYN nurse practitioner for five years before joining The Cecil Clinic in December 2012. She loves every part of her job from routine exams to follow-up and sick visits; she just enjoys taking care of people.

Jennifer Story, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Jennifer Story, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Jennifer is a graduate of Graves County High School and received an Associate Degree in Nursing in 2002 from Paducah Community College. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2005 and Master of Science Degree in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner in 2008, both from Murray State University. She worked as an RN in critical care for six years and in labor and delivery for one year. She began working with Dr. Cecil as in NP in 2009 in an urgent care setting and is currently working as an NP at Murray Woman’s Clinic. She works one Saturday a month and other times as needed at The Cecil Clinic.
